Lead pilot must carry height-clearance pole for loads exceeding 14'6". Pilot or signed operator declaration required on all state highways (OAR 734-075-0035).
- Lead (front) pilot carover 12'0" width
Front pilot required on 2-lane Green Route highways for widths exceeding 12' (OAR 734-082-0035).
- Lead (front) pilot carover 9'0" width
On designated Purple and Route Map 2 routes, escort required at widths over 9'. Conservative threshold — check route-specific permit conditions (OAR 734-082-0035).
Travel restrictions
- Daylight-only travelover 8'6" width
Non-divisible overwidth loads restricted to daylight movement per Permit Attachment H. Loads over 8'6" wide prohibited from noon preceding holiday to 1/2 hr before sunrise following holiday (OAR 734-082-0060).
- Weekend / holiday restrictionover 8'6" width
Loads over 8'6" prohibited Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's (observed). Sat PM + all-day Sun restricted for loads over 105' long during Memorial Day–Labor Day season (OAR 734-082-0060).
