Terms of Service

Effective date: July 12, 2026

By creating an account or accessing AmberLight (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including pilot car / escort operators and carriers, drivers, and shippers. The Service is provided by GloveBoxLabs LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("GloveBoxLabs," "we," "us," or "our").

1. Description of Service

AmberLight is a two-sided online marketplace that connects pilot car / escort vehicle operators with carriers, drivers, and shippers who need escorts for oversize and overdimensional loads. Features include posting loads, requesting and claiming escort positions, operator and carrier profiles, a credential document vault, two-sided ratings, email and SMS notifications, and — when enabled — payment-protected payments.

2. Marketplace Role — Independent Parties

AmberLight is a neutral venue that connects operators and carriers. The escort services themselves are arranged and performed solely between the operator and the carrier as independent parties. AmberLight is not a party to any agreement between an operator and a carrier, is not the employer of any operator, and does not provide, supervise, or guarantee the escort services. Operators are independent contractors responsible for their own licensing, insurance, equipment, conduct, and compliance with all applicable laws and permit requirements. Carriers are responsible for verifying that an operator is suitable for their load. You are solely responsible for your interactions and agreements with other users.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. SMS Messaging Terms

AmberLight may send automated transactional SMS messages to users who have provided a mobile phone number and enabled SMS notifications. By opting in, you consent to receive text messages related to your marketplace activity, such as a new request on your load or a confirmation/decline of your request, and account or security notifications.

Message types: request received, confirmation/decline, run status, and account/security alerts.

Message frequency: varies based on your marketplace activity.

To opt out: reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation and no further texts.

For help: reply HELP to any message for support contact information.

Rates: message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier.

Carriers: available on all major U.S. wireless carriers. Delivery is not guaranteed on all networks.

SMS messaging is powered by Twilio. Opting out of SMS does not deactivate your account — you may still receive in-app and email notifications. See our Privacy Policy for full details of the SMS program.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation
Misrepresent your identity, credentials, insurance, or qualifications
Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or infringing content, loads, or reviews
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or another user's data
Circumvent the marketplace to avoid fees where fees apply, in a manner that breaches these Terms
Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the Service
Interfere with the operation of the Service or its infrastructure
Use the Service to build or benchmark a competing product
Harvest, scrape, or misuse other users' personal or contact information

6. User Content, Ratings, and Reliability

You are responsible for the profiles, documents, loads, ratings, and other content you submit, and you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate. Ratings and reviews must reflect genuine experiences. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, are fraudulent, or harm other users.

To help the marketplace stay reliable, AmberLight also keeps reliability counterson operator profiles, such as completed jobs and the number of operator-initiated cancellations and no-shows. These counters are generated automatically from marketplace activity and are shown publicly on the operator's profile alongside ratings.

7. Location Sharing

Operators who enable the "Show me on the live map" feature grant AmberLight permission to display their approximatelocation (within roughly 1–2 miles) to carriers on the in-app map. By enabling this feature you represent that you are available to work from that general area and agree to keep the shared location reasonably accurate or to disable sharing when you are not available. AmberLight displays approximate location only — exact whereabouts, current assignments, and booking details are never shown alongside the location marker. Location sharing is opt-in and can be turned off at any time from your Profile settings or by revoking location permission in your browser or device settings.

8. Payments and Fees

Where payment features are enabled, fees are as published on getamberlight.com, and payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). AmberLight facilitates payments between users through that provider and does not act as a bank or money transmitter. You are responsible for your own taxes. Disputes about the underlying escort services are between the operator and the carrier. Booking payment authorization, conditional payout, the operator service fee, cancellations, disputes, chargebacks, and tax reporting are governed by our Payment, Conditional Payout, and Tax Terms, which are part of these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE CONDUCT, QUALIFICATIONS, INSURANCE, OR PERFORMANCE OF ANY USER, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE AND YOUR DEALINGS WITH OTHER USERS ARE AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLOVEBOXLABS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM THE ACTS, OMISSIONS, OR ESCORT SERVICES OF ANY USER. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GloveBoxLabs LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your interactions or agreements with other users, the escort services you provide or procure, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends and you must stop using it.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
